Alyssa Mandel, LCSW, founder and Director of The Mandel Center of Arizona, has created an environment to promote psychotherapeutic healing to people in need. Ms. Mandel's philosophy centers on empowering clients through the therapeutic relationship. She feels that by working with patients from a non-judgmental perspective, fostering a comfortable and trusting environment and "being where the client is", the time spent in treatment is made more productive for all involved.

Ms. Mandel earned her Masters degree at Columbia University's School of Social Work in New York City, and has been a licensed psychotherapist for more than 10 years. Her supportive philosophy is based on years of experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds with numerous presenting problems.

The Mandel Center of Arizona recognizes the importance of an interdisciplinary team approach to therapy that enlists the expertise of other behavioral health professionals such as social workers, psychiatrists and psychologists. Physicians and nutritionists are also used when deemed appropriate. An approach such as this helps to ensure that the relevant aspects of the client's health are addressed appropriately and in a coordinated fashion.
